Remote Practice: Internationale Deutsche Schule Brüssel October 2021. MNA’s application has been accepted for the competition for the new German School of Brussels in Wezembeek-Oppem. The competition is organised by the Land of Bavaria (GE) in collaboration with the Vlaams Bouwmeester team. Project in “remote practice” between MNA (Brussels) and our partners Wulf Architekten (Berlin, Basel) and Planstatt Senner (Stuttgart).

Renovation of an apartment building, first apartment delivered June 2020. We have just completed the conversion of a ground floor commercial space into a two-bedroom apartment. This involved rearranging the spaces and a complete interior refit with custom furniture. The ground floor was also extended by a terrace and a pleasure garden. Just waiting for summer!

Reconversion of the BinHome spaces, Bruxelles/ Flagey May 2019. Manger Nielsen Architects was selected for a competition aiming at transforming BinHôme’s headquarters into a community housing for the elderly, a neighbourhood infrastructure for children and the development of an indoor semi-public green space island in Ixelles.
Nice frame – extension of an appartement building May 2019. Structure of the new volume on the top of the apartment building in Forest is ongoing. The opening is still impressive.

Shortlisted – competition Kindergarden in Brussels June 2018. Manger Nielsen Architects was selected for the design competition for a new kindergarden on the site of the national Francophone eRTBF.
House extension in Brussels delivered February 2018. We just delivered the extension of a house in Berchem-Saint-Agathe, north of Brussels. Cladding in white painted steel, window frames in white painted aluminium, extensive terrace in re-used wood oriented south. A simple place for the good life.

Competition for a sports hall in Brussels/Evere December 2017. Manger Nielsen Architects was selected to participate in a competition for a sports hall in Evere.
Helmet/Brussels social housing – final works November 2017. The project for social apartments for the municipality of Schaerbeek entered its final phase. The apartments being situated above the access of the judo hall, the organisation of the works have to take into account the hall, the collective garden and the judo hall, extensively used by a young public.
Shortlisted for competition in Bruxelles January 2017. Manger Nielsen Architects was selected by the SLRB and the municipality of Ixelles for a design competition aiming at developing a project for two municipal departments and 18 apartments on the chaussée de Waterloo close to La Bascule in Ixelles.
Hedendaags Schaarbeek – Schaerbeek Contemporaine The city of Schaerbeek has edited a series of postcards representing some contemporary buildings built in the municipality. The passive housing POSTE200 designed and completed by MNA has been chosen to appear on one of the postcards.
Office Refurbishment delivered September 2016. The refurbishment of an office space in Watermael Boistfort is completed.
Competition won for Gray – Garage June 2016. Manger Nielsen Architects win the competition for the building of a nursery, two workshops and a collective housing building for the municipality of Ixelles in the framework of the of the contrat de quartier Maelbeek. With Atelier De Visscher & Vincentelli.
Helmet – Brussels, sport hall: steel structure assembled April 2016. The primary steel structure for the judo hall is completed, the perforated steel covering begins this morning.

Open or close an urban blog ? The project for youth center and housing in Molenbeek – developed with ADVV- is published in the beautiful book « bMa – man of thoughts ». The exhibition is held in BNP Paribas Fortis headquarter and runs until 25/9.

Evere – Competition won July 2014. MNA won the competition for the construction of 22 housing – apartments and houses – and the restoration of a former public building dedicated to the Brussels cemetery nearby in Evere. MNA @ ADU_2020 MNA will intervene at the ADU_2020 conference « Creative Adjacencies », June 3rd – 6th, Ghent, Belgium. As a structural project, the aim of ADU_2020 is to discuss and design structural mechanisms to promote the modernization, reformation and harmonization of the higher education systems, aiming specifically to the expanded field of architecture, design and urbanism. MNA shortlisted for the Abbaye de l’Aulne competition The brief of the competition is to re-imagine the deployment and the accesses of the beautiful historical site in Thuin, Belgium. This project is developed with Architectures Parallèles and VWG Architectes.
